Confetti

coming up for air
gulp the coolness
thin and light

clears the cobwebs
covering the corners
diluted and dusty

far from here there
is a highway stretching
out clawing its way

needing a ride one
hitches along with
another who goes

finding feet resting
quiet abstraction blooms
and breathes

mobile marvelous mutuality
we ponder peacefully
the weather of where we are

he points at the sky he points
at him and smiles innocently
at the brightness of the blue

solidarity symbiosis we are
with little notice he disengages
in an enlightened ebbing wind

that untangles a waterfall
of colorful confetti
falling fantastically

translucence awakening
deep the soundless sleep
never wakes so swiftly

feet fired up
the highway opens
gulping gurgles

wish

writers island no 23 2010 : this week’s pleasure is soar.
photo: Cycle of life?ஃ முதல் அ வரை, flickr

soft liquid silence
over treetops mountain view
aerial eyesight blue sky canvas
roars the remains of remembrance

he slept soundly viewing a world no one else knew. weaving his way amid the stars he stopped at a four-way intersection. hesitating little he pressed the pedal of his pedantic personality making way with wings of steel. nearly there he never looked beyond his porch.

pescador

this week’s writer’s island: no 21 posted a photo entitled fisherman by vane kosturanov [see below] …and from there it’s a sorta freefall…. be sure to stop by the island this week…

having recently visited a blog senderupwords who has numerous conversations with hemingway [excellent series] reminded me of his wonderful story about “the old man and the sea” and when i arrived at the island and saw this week’s prompt abt a man fishing… well, went fishin’ myself and brought this up from the deep and floated to the surface….

caressing the small ark
the water splashes her wings

waiting for the bus

magpie tales no 25 photo; and writer’s island no 14 2010: the journey. i really liked the photo this week over at magpie tales and writer’s island had a great prompt as well. at night late when one boards a bus we never know whom it is we shall meet. i’ve been there, half asleep eyes unfocused….

11 pm quiet cool evening
creating cellophane spaces
where shapeless shadows stand
sprouting at several spots
lodged along the active avenue
enjoying a secret sanctuary

seemingly occupied
the bench taken with three
the few left to stand
agile energetic forces
clear and conscious

destination bound luggage
filled with not forgotten dreams
lightly lathered in love
settling soothe sincerity
shadows shift then soar

ticket holding departure
clasp firmly by strings
unpredictable carrying key
whimpering lock harmonizing fit
stepping up to board
a forward 1 am float

must be the air

three word wednesday: wealth, hassle, inject ; writer’s island no 10 prompt: fork in the road ; photo: Cuba Gallery – www.cubagallery.co.nz, flickr

an ocean away from the bp gulf scandal, new zealand blue….

challenging the motion
she took one look
at the far horizon
and synchronized

every glance
held a wealthy whiff
of clean salty air
bobbing and weaving

with no desire to land
she’s weighing the anchor
a collaborating collusion
swimming to shore the
hassle of civility

crash the sudden scent of honeysuckle
cloaked cloud of tranquility
emanating fusion, a soothing injection
sense the serpentine vines
of attachment
