Haiku, OneSingleImpression, tanka

bounce

one single impression: this week’s haiku poetry prompt: windows
photo: Morning light, lee adcock, flickr

blocked by light’s burden
the curtain closed the daylight
shutting the eye’s view

sleepy passions slept
in the stillness of daybreak
surrounded by soft
staying the moment they met
again longing for more shine

  1. I was thinking ‘morning’ when I read your haiku so I was ready all the way for the tanka. That second is very senuous for me, I almost shiver/quiver. It surely does remind me …
    Thanks,
    ..
BTW, I think I will remove the bottom picture. I do have one someplace I took from the outside with bars on the window. I might could find it but instead I will pull it for a bit.
    Thank you,
    ..

  2. So beautiful, reminds me of sleepy mornings where you lay in bed just enjoying the moments, the sounds, before having to get up and get with the program.

  3. always a pleasure in reading your work, something wonderfully subtle in the beauty of your chosen words, here I find it to be a peaceful dream-like moment in time untouched by daylight, very dreamy

writing is everything...
