18.adrift

early morning aperture
seeks a spring repartee
breeze blowing babble
open window watch

wonderful waiting
arrival soon expected
sound speak sotto voce

personal prowl
adrift along the draft
the art of flying
reality flickers below

dawning delight
moon stealing night
dreaming of nomadic trees
powder white snow falls quietly

vaccine fever virus
a pain in my arm
48 hours later i’m feeling better

napowrimo 2021 day 18. sunday whirl wordle no 499

poet’s notes: yesterday was sorta hazy and the day before feverish… first modera vaccine… okay now… feel a lot better..

day 3.soaring

over at big tent poetry there’s a new ongoing prompt called gong poetry and we’re in day 3 of 7. new to you is pick a poet that’s new, pick a line and write… or something very close to that…

today i pick lorine neidecker. another new poet who writes with a way that woos me close.. the poem i picked doesn’t have a title, and is very small and buoyant so i included it in today’s post…the link for more poems and info is attached to her name.

In moonlight lies
the river passing—
it’s not quiet
and it’s not laughing.

I’m not young
and I’m not free
but I’ve a house of my own
by a willow tree.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

there’s a young willow tree
gaining strength growing tall
just outside my window

tough little tree beginning to
conceive a small crowd of
drooping fluttering branches that
sway so readily when the
wispy winds of autumn appear

another year passes and i only
notice because of the shadow
from the young willow tree
growing tall just outside my window

three word wednesday: fear, ignore, weightless

mortal morning muse protest
rousing weightless day proclaim
comfy curious cure reveal

outside morning bird call cry
backyard butterfly beauties
suddenly spy
ephemeris fearless fixation
souls release transitory passage

floating falling
cherry blossom curtain
shifting somebodies stirring air
sanguine spirits merrily alight
rambling flourishing fanfare
momentary bloom high in a tree

entertaining eclipse enters
suspend the somnambulist secrets
ignore the snail trail tracks
jostling journey quickens
rider of the river raft rendezvous

somebody

read write poem napowrimo day 20 the hero poem. write a poem in which you pay tribute to your hero, past or present; photo: Casting the Net, Anua22a, flickr

today was a revelation of
small harmonic melodious meanderings

perceptive pondering pockets, places of small spaces
not one hero came to mind, a beguiling lucuna daze
casting a celestial net in the hope of turquiose waters
the heart cries return to me a catch of somebody someone

in the quiet of a tree’s shade a breeze burst loose
in light leisure immeasure degrees
tiny little threads of gossamer contentment
appear and unfold as petals of a tulip
in the humid heat of a quiet afternoon
under a pink blooming  blossoming tree
oh yes, i remember…
