Weight of Frost

placing herself here
she thought maybe it might stick
having no weight she wanders
waiting for what would occur
beneath her

possessing stars, the night comes
and goes, she tosses one randomly
as petals from the perfect petunia

cheerful and chatty she bends
to behave in a weightless want
of wandering

one,..
touched by a tender tendril of toughness
you rub the raw from my heart
we gather old cobwebs and
make silk socks of togetherness

two,..
sometimes in the uncertain
you bring me back
where no one likes to step
you hook your arm around
my waist, and with
steady heart you sooth and rock
you provoke me landward

morning hollars come brash bickering birds
lubricate the lights of night fantasy flying feathers
curtain flowing wind starry saints singing

standing silent stay there’s nothing here weeping
shoreline breaching walls knowledge seeking might
wet sand sinking rushing wrecking ball
disappearing disposition crushing bitter bite
