cool
dawn
morning
brings wet dew
clear fertility
green growing tender young shoots open
soon a symphony blooming flowers singing

me here
beneath stars
observing above
alone in the cool misty night
standing on the quiet pier soothing wave sounds

loud
noise
everywhere
surrounding daylight
fast moving metal chasing dreams
automobiles gasoline beautiful beasts
rubber rinsing sounds delight the dry highway

stories
told beyond
hushed fading red barns
between the spaced timbers waiting
otiose resting fields transient seasons

one single impression no 8: color…

clothesline

flush with your new love
arrayed rainbows of passion
my cheeks shining bright

sprouting spring delights
fields of yellow green and white
daffodils singing

snoring so softly
sleepy sea blue morning eyes
holding on to now

hanging damp laundry
wooden clothes pins holding strong
wet waving wonders

your kiss brings an ache
clouded in raging fires
knocking at your door

..ok, went a little overboard on the haiku, but gee, first day back home and making up time for the 30 poems/30days…. day 15-19 NaPoWriMo

daffodils

growing in a group of six or eight
the bright yellow daffodils grew
in the open fruitful fields
tapestries of loose threads
blowing in the breeze
colored canvas
hand painted
graceful
strokes

day 8, NaPoWriMo… one has to be dedicated to fulfilling the promise..

Cherry Tree Blossom
photo: sapereaude2007, photobucket

gathering in groups
beneath the blossoming blooms
crack the sound of spring

above sun and stars
sakura unlocks the key
heaven’s door opens

cherry trees in bloom
petals of clouds fluttering
discard not the dead

at the feet of gods
renewed in feast offerings
the brunt of death hides

for those who are interested.. hanami
