dinner day 22

read write poem napowrimo day 22 a wordle 12 word choice use one or use them all. why not i mutter use all… ; photo: Canário-da-terra, Saffron Finch (Sicalis Flaveola), Bertrando©, flickr: sunday scribblings: dinner

deciding tomorrow‘s dinner
the image of green spinach pie
came to my dizzy delirious disposition
as the black crows in the surrounding
tall evergreen trees begin to batter
in spontaneous agreement

being in a saffron sunny spirit
i casually make a decision and navigate
the local market noting the excellent
selection of spinach and kale priced perfectly

a sudden hollar draws my attenion
his cropped head from a distance smiles
over the counter and in a booming voice
there’s an excellent choice today mam’

in a fierce minute squall
my gray peppered hair reality
began to reverberate through the
tiny tendrils of my suddenly saddened
electrified brain manifesting sprouts
when did i become a mam’

responding to an unexpected ache
of a latent sting i smiled a smile and
spoke sincerely thank you sir

later two aisles over stirring speculation
the recipe calls for eggs and grated
montery jack cheese

lost in the reverie of how old am i really
all the tomorrows and yesterdays simmered
and bubbled with little requirements of fire or flame

with my basket before me the rust wheels sqeak round
my dinner disillusioned and forgotten i find
little appetite unwilling to view the fine mist
of emporium delights fluttering before me
as colorful flags telling a tale of the finch who flew
away when the door of his cage mysteriously opened

tonight’s tide

read write poem napowrimo day 21 perfectly flawed. write a poem about flaws and perfection in yourself or in nature or write about how you feel about being imperfect or perfect; three word wednesday: ebb negotiate random; photo: Town Car White Wall WheelSparks68, flickr

loving the perfect imperfection
where one half commands
a quarter questions

we negotiate the expenditure
our love shifts into cost control

amuse me with your viscosity
how your hands negotiate
the curves and straight away

kooky kosher connect
courageous cool
we sink compliantly

the random risk
of cozy reluctance
tandom synchronicity

turning wheels directed
towards docile domicile
the ebb of kindled quiet flame

you barbecue medium rear steaks
i occupy with green salad dujour

together we sip the red wine of
a lasting imperfect alliance

blazing stars and comets cast
agreeable accession

somebody

read write poem napowrimo day 20 the hero poem. write a poem in which you pay tribute to your hero, past or present; photo: Casting the Net, Anua22a, flickr

today was a revelation of
small harmonic melodious meanderings

perceptive pondering pockets, places of small spaces
not one hero came to mind, a beguiling lucuna daze
casting a celestial net in the hope of turquiose waters
the heart cries return to me a catch of somebody someone

in the quiet of a tree’s shade a breeze burst loose
in light leisure immeasure degrees
tiny little threads of gossamer contentment
appear and unfold as petals of a tulip
in the humid heat of a quiet afternoon
under a pink blooming  blossoming tree
oh yes, i remember…

come closer

read write poem napowrimo day 18 light bulb moments. introduction of a word éclat. your poem should express the emotions that grip you as you experience your “shock” moment; photo: titanium taurus tracker 44 magnum snub nose, Willie Lunchmeat, flickr

dormant lies a secret
shadowy silly story
no one knows at all

a hundred details
big and small sentiments
retrospective reluctance

almost expressed aloud
with little hesitation
but nope not yet can’t

but if you really want to know here’s the story
