napowrimo 2021, Poetry

last night’s big moon
clear, blue, bright
luminosity of light
brimming bubbling beautiful

last night’s stars
a love poem relation
twinkling in silence
proclaims the postcard

last night’s breeze
yesterday’s sun shine
a sun burnt face
feeling the flame

morning’s first curtain call
panoramic portal
cuddling close cohesion
dawdling dawn serenade

first light lingering
the warmth of a window
dew dancing delight
settles on the overgrown grasslands
baptized my backyard

Haiku, Poetry, woven dreams

cloud crash contradict
racing rapid bend blue sky
thunder storm afar

hear a far off roar
barking dogs fierce with fire
silhouette mountains

distant delightful
fluffy light scurrying past
curlycue quiet

moments rushing still
hours drift as seconds run
night sky subpoena

twenty-four hours
puzzle pieces pulled apart
summer’s heat smiles

serene stranger steal
red tail hungry hawk
escape the quick claw

driving back forward
coming close to calmness clear
happiness hovers

woven dreams : whisper

staring out a northern window saw the front coming in…. it was a beautiful sunny day not a cloud in the sky… looking out beyond the blue clear glare a gray fast moving front, dark and mysterious…. not a sound except a light breeze…

Poetry, SundayScribblings

twice turning
the stars lifted their heads
seeking a shoulder
a wall with monocratic memory
holding high all that tarries
barely a spoken sentence
yet understood

would i linger just a millisecond longer held in open arms…. last night’s vision, coming home late the world was a little sleepy and peacefully quiet… a small spell of in between when all those moments we hardly notice come to light…  tired eyes focused on a western sky with an almost full moon, a soft lingering light mist encircles this small wonderful enchantment… and a warm 4 pieces left homemade apple berry pie…
