time’s up

read write poem no 71: it’s all about the first line
i used donald harbour‘s  i know that life has loved me line for a reference point in creating my poem. now that i have finished, i visited donald’s poem and amazed how they have a strange commonality. yes, no

less than complete he walked away…

i know that life has loved me
beyond the moments of now
forever etched at the beginning
here breathing small breaths
i recall the entirety in
nano bursts blazing

born on a bed of blood and light
poured out water unable to return
my lungs began to assert

held in a soft blanket
clutched in warmth
there’s nothing else
to remember

here i lay
the cool dirt of earth
waiting juncture
her face i scrutinze
in disappearing ink

the diverse collection of
my ruffled significant substance
evades the enigma
of where i have roamed

honor and trust
the color of freckled turquoise
transform in string and bead
rattle the observant

persuasive pebbles mingle
with singing cowrie shells
disturbing the depths
peck at the performance

subdued by solid gravity
layers of time and rock
resolve recollections
once imagined in transit

cleave a dash of daydreamer
with ruinous ropes of risk
parade the progression of paradise
breathe the fluid free

rushing towards the rigid rim
whimpering whispers
scamper and scoot
reveal my pink purpose
perched upon
a swaying stick

one single impression no 9: flowering…

pollen

seeking seeds breeze bears
disembarking waiting fields
wet rains fetch gravy

gathering brown leaves
heaps of last fall piled high
cycled seasons pass

snow melting reveals
waiting young green early blooms
pallet cold cool earth

warm sunshine arrives
spreading kosmic rays of strength
new birth inhales

Writers Island prompt: time traveler; and
3WW prompt: punch, t-shirt, unravel

hurriedly packing the pink suitcase
the wanderer began to inwardly grieve
looking upward she noticed the
shifting sequences lighting the night sky

fluctuation of solar and sidereal times
began to unravel, and small pieces
of earth began falling barely noticeable

contained for now, the punch of implosion
would force the disruption
of immoveable constellations
eventually saving the elements
would become unmanageable

unable to toss the old baggy t-shirt
she captured the memory
closed the suitcase and departed
