fibonacci, napowrimo 2021, Poetry

spring arrives
asleep in winter
it’s a slow stretch to summer’s warmth
melting waters flow
calling dawn
bare trees

napwrimo day 21. was glad to pick a nice form of poetry, Fibonacci.
2021 April PAD Challenge. take the phrase “(blank) Me,” replace the blank with a word or phrase, make the new phrase the title of your poem, and then, write your poem. Possible titles include: “Tell Me,” “Forgive Me,” and/or “You’ve Got to Believe Me.” Of course, feel free to bend the rules and have a title like “Home Sweet Ho(me)” or “Pick a The(me).”

carpe diem, Haiku

tall lean evergreens
unexpected pinecones fall
cluttered canvas crash

carpe diem: no 443 ghost rider 4…. i was inspired by Soen Nakagawa ….. yesterday’s early spring day bloomed so lovely. it was a tease of summer warmth, the rush of a strong wind and the brush of evergreen trees in the air…. as I was gardening at a wonderful mad pace…first task of spring clearing out a million pine needles… I kept hearing these strange sounds…looked around nothing but pinecones littering the ground in an interesting array of landing here and there…. and just about that time plop one lands right next to me… looking up I saw all these pinecones waiting to fall…amazing to be here within a small evergreen forest along a river flowing amongst all these pinecones falling one by one…. all I could think of was a blank canvas and paint….woke up this morning… gone, not so much a paintbrush and canvas craving but haiku….

Haiku, OneSingleImpression, Poetry

Grass Texture

bursting clouds of yes
posting epiphany
harmonious moon

gathering goodwill
bunches and bundles abound
shadow dancing dark

steady drops of rain
pelting pretty rooftop sounds
dry desert cool wind

splash sincerity
drip dry manifestation
small nibble to taste

one single impression: confirmation

outside gray heavy storm clouds moved in overnight and buried the bluest sky. unexpectedly my early morning eye contemplates a random rain starting to fall softly, continuously. hours have passed and still the rain falls. rich with time i remain encased within a penetrating cascading curtain and the surrounding sound. steady it comes cold and wet. inside excitement tethered by winter escapes outside. hours afterwards hasn’t come home.

whisper wanting wind

yesterday.  it is good to let the mind loose to wander and relax. without distraction observe the day passing. looking outward it is late afternoon and the sky is starting to sway toward sunset. now comes the quiet just before the wings of a large bird appears bringing the night with a trail of stars dangling from golden threads. this here is where i stopped. to consider my wanting. to hear the spirit wind talking. he shares his wisdom.

napowrimo 2011. today is day 1 of 31 days of poems. this has always been an amazing experience and look forward to participating in this year’s celebration as well.
