3WW, Poetry

thomg’s three word wednesday. this week’s offer: dainty, haunting, tantalizing
photo: The Age of Wisdom, Tomasito, flickr

open tiny window
drawn from memory
cold quiet haunting
burlap buried breathing
a hundred rays of light

this hospitality is haunting
rusty and weary, he writes
unwritten to keep himself alive
across his mind whispered with
wonder he remembers his woman

tantalizing terror
no longer such torture
touches his tiny skin deep
open happiness

D.R.F.S.B (Dangerously Red Flying Salad Bowls)

there’s hardly a moment free
caught in the trap of wanting
for nothing

wake up working
sunset comes too soon
amusement absent

sleep the deep
transported pursuit
building sand castles
sunbathing relax

words of wonder
escape the pen
riding a bull who
bucks and stomps
snorting simple rhymes

8 seconds embrace
letters flying
skyward downward
slippery sliding

effortlessly eccentric
letters lined up
open congestion
no long empty spaces
hearty distractions

i think i just wrote

Haiku, haiku bones

haiku bones: sleep
photo: jackie-dee, flickr

perfection floating
crisp clean cool sheets silent
and then the white moon

fallen petals lie
stories gathered suspended
pink pillow prattle

crashing yesterdays
exploding tomorrows take-off
rides to anywhere

growing green gardens
feral flying fantasy
unfamilar earth

dawn’s ruckus calling
wave goodbye nightlight turbulance
morning sun tints dusk

Napowrimo, ReadWritePoem, Saturday Scribes

seafaring soak

saturday scribes: the air we breathe; 3 words, overcome, chimera, canopy
read write poem: day 12, napowrimo; photo: bird sellerdolce babanne, flickr

the cognizant invisibility
of my digital clock
red light’s silent
thunderous ticking

it’s always this way
overcome with restless-ness
suspended sleep
even here with peace
lying beside me
in gentle waves of water

all wet
a quiet noise comes
the sandman
his twinkling  toes
and pink gold floating dust

cannot help but to
take flight the
midnight cool air
a singsong bird’s call
chimera dripping rainbow

we soon soar
peeling past the
canopy effervescent stars

subtlety steady
straight ahead
there’s nothing so like this
not even hot butttered
blueberry pancakes
