calming the cool calamity
persistent humid hoofbeats
galloping unfettered horses
subconcious mind presumes
an unlatched gate
recreational field distraction
manageable loose minutes
a distant clock beams brightly
implied the moments ticking
rousing sleep untangled
separated soft blanket tranquility
tethered celestial meandering
careless calm calamity
exploratory wanderings
persistent beating heartbeat
cricket surround wooded strays
trespassing gracious pace
quiet stillness calls
soothing silent whispers widen
constant conscious tide
glancing at the address
wild onions hollar
there they stand waiting
speaking tall illuminated storytalk
spelling snickering stilled sentences
suggest to remember au reste
the curve of a open window
brings the starlight indoors
turning towards slumber
two-arm warm embrace
Wonderful fluent images that partake of the dream quality of the poem.
So many great stanzas that evoke wonderful images, sounds, and emotions. Love your alliteration. It’s hard to pick my favorite stanza, but this one really stood out:
“trespassing gracious pace
quiet stillness calls
soothing silent whispers widen
constant conscious tide.”
Great stuff!

Really liked this:
he curve of a open window
brings the starlight indoors
Excellent!
Lots of wonderful poetic things in this poem! Each stanza is a treat! And the ending is sublime!
Rich with sounds and senses: “calming the cool calamity” indeed.
I like the last stanza
and
rousing sleep untangled
separated soft blanket tranquillity
