wordless wind allures
a familiar voice afar
ineffable sphere
roaring loud whisper
unseen stirs the stillness
arouse quiet sleep
here beside the moon
awakening every dream
restless stars ignite

A haiku chain – cool! A beautiful description of your gateway…to things beyond our imaginations? The picture matches with the poem well, too.

I really like that third haiku in the series.
The photo is surrealistic and haunting, as is the poem.
The roaring whisper and the restless stars are wonderful images in this great sequence. I imagine that whisper fueling the fires of heaven.
A “roaring loud whisper”- I like the paradox in that line.
Thank You for the fine poems and the remakable photograph.
Fascinating doorway!
A dark and haunting Haiku. I just love it. The picture is perfect.

This series of haiku is marvelous. I love the push and pull of the contrast you built into them.
how beautifully put, I can picture a peaceful night just standing around staring at the moon
You picked a good photo to match your poems. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the last.
There is a mystery about the picture and the Haiku and I love it.
‘Wordless wind’ is lovely, and tho it is wordless its sounds can create a symphony of emotion!
Thank you for your visit and comment on mine.
Your haiku series is gorgeous! Thanks for visiting, and yes, the picture is of my brother Johnny. He has been gone for only a few months, and I miss him. Your words this week made me think of him and where he is. Thank you for that!
Wonderful, I will come back to look at the haiku here later when I’m not travleing.
Question (I will just wonder about it): did you ever fly a kite in the moonlight? 🙂
..
BTW, I have lived in Texas since 1956 with a one-year break. I hope you are happy where you are now or that you may return.

Great haiku series and the picture complements them beautifully. I especially like the last one.
Beautifully penned, a very vivid and surreal poem. I loved it!
…awakening every dream, the restless stars…yes.
My earliest recollections…maybe 2 years old…are of the moon and stars and a wonderful playing about I was privy to at the time. I have long since lost that capability…the stars have become distant and the moon: a dead sphere. Thanks for awakening the memory of life before awareness….
This series of Haiku conjured up, for me, the idea of distant memories. So much can be read from these words. Memory loss, dejavu, lost love, struggle, hope…. beautiful.
The last line is my favorite. It’s so epic.
