TwoHands

Poefusion No 8: Write a poem about your hands…
photo: handprint, vegasm, photobucket

handprint

visible traces
fugacious shifts
bent oblique
fluent fingers
shining journey of age

sprains exposed
lines and spots
lively lifetimes ago
simple fading scars

gardener
chipped nails
cuts and blisters

the ring long gone
hidden in the folds
of forgotten silk
too trying to recall

dot furrowed nails
depleted zinc
dry cracked cuticles
manicure calling

morning through night
they serve me well

day 9, NaPoWriMo… one has to be dedicated to fulfilling the promise..

  1. The most beautiful imagery. Thank you for sharing your intimate hand poem. I really enjoyed reading it. 🙂 It is my hope that they continue to serve you well, they certainly this time around.
