SundayScribbings No. 101 The Experiment
photo: flamingoes, khamburger, photobucket
exciting her usual
placid peaceful perseity
the distracted white rabbit
allowed her access
to what was
previously impassable
placading the placebo
fear faded and her
sense of wonder expanded
as she shifted closer
with breaknecking speed
suspicions slowly seeped
from underneath
the seams of normality
flying without wings
in a parade of colors
disappearing smiles
in puffs of fading lettered smoke
questioned her reasoning
hesitating little
she tasted the other
smaller than the larger
previously sampled
swimming for answers
the edge crawled closer
with teacups and 3 card riddles
red paintbrushes and mock turtle soup
with a taste and a yawn
in a fluttering wind
the trial ends
experiment over
Wow, what a nice tribute. I think Carroll would have liked this. I know I do.
What a fun piece! Is that a specific form or just your usual special style? Love this, love it. Teacups and three-card riddles – how neat!
Now this was fun — and I loved that ending — “experiment over”. Lovely!
Awesome.
Excellent job!
I like to see those red blood like coloured flamingoes.
Perfection!
Adored the fantasy echoes. Like a fantasy within a fantasy!
Just beautiful!
And little children everywhere respond with glee, not even understanding the special lessons of that wonderland but adoring nonetheless.
Spot on! I loved it
cool! I love pink flamingos!
a little foray in to “go ask alice”….lovely…..
I loved the photo! And of course the verse too!
Refluxing Life
