Poefusion Friday 5 prompt: skew, foreign, wailing, travel, arithmetic

photo: curse_603, photobucket

puzzling papers
piled high
with importance
waiting for review
picked apart the
premise of perfection

discussing symbols
in a foreign tongue of
plus and minus
the skew-filled balance
demonstrated doomed

travel terminated
the denied theses of
words and numbers
sang silent lamentations
with wordless wailing
as dust gathered
in the heart of dreams

  1. Your poem and picture fit well together. I especially like the second stanza. You’ve done a very nice job with the words. And, I can see how wailing would look like waiting. Have a nice night.

  2. oh i love this.. i am not into math at all and i can definitely appreciate the line,, a foreign tongue of plus and minus… add to that multiply and divide,,, and you got me!!!!!

writing is everything...
